It is total bliss to sleep on, and I don't find it too hot.  Good luck with your search.

Just remember . . . your fitted sheets might not fit once the topper is in place.

Very true, John Lewis do some very good deep fitted sheets to buy online - that's where I got mine, they were good value

oh good point, I didn't think of that! I suppose it will just be temporary until he can lie down again.

We have one SazBomb....Mr Baz has spinal problems ...and we love it ...but, depending on the thickness....Renton is right about the fitted sheets ...

You won't want to go back to being without it

we are on the end of a similar saga but it was shoulder as opposed to arm and elbow ... to get to more of a laying down rather than sitting/propped position we used extra pillows to support the arm ... was able then to get on back or front and the good side ... still wasnt 100% comfortable but the pillow support helped in untensing the bum and legs a little ... dont know if this would work for you at all 

Funny you say that MrsH, he just found a new sleeping position this morning that was really comfy apparently. Propped half up on his usual pillows/cushions, but diagonally across the bed, with his head on my pillow. Looks like I'll be sleeping on the futon in the spare room for a bit

so if you can transfer that diagonal comfy position back to a horizontal one by moving the pillows/cushions you can grab your half back 

I do sympathise I really do - they dont make good patients and add the pain into it it turns into a nightmare - it took us a few nights to sort the best way to deal with sleeping I will admit 

Well, he's booked in to have the operation tomorrow so I'll let him have the bed to himself tonight so he gets a good night's sleep tonight. At least after that the bones will be re-set and hopefully not as sore
