Forget for a moment  Friday's outcome - let's go back a bit....

When they were voting to give someone a pass to the final, Dexter said he voted for Sophie as he though the rest would too and that he wanted Sophie/ thought she should be in the final. In that case, should he not have picked Gina to replace him? Thus ensuring that Sophie got to the final. Or was he no longer that sure of Gina's position with the GBP, but felt that Sophie was safe?

If you believe Dexter he genuinely didn’t want the Free-pass to the final wasted – so proposed awarding it to whom he considered to be the HM most likely of gaining a unanimous group vote. It wasn’t about Gina, Charlie or friendship; it was about the group.

Faced with the ghastly Save and Replace from a choice of just 2 twist – whether in game-player mode or not; he had to choose his closer friend – the other decision simply wasn’t viable and could have lost him both Gina as a friend and some support through disloyalty.

IMO Gina had a 75% chance of surviving Save and Replace as I believe only the twins would have saved Sophie.

Put up who you think is a major player and chances are that the vote to evict will be split and the chance of getting either the twins or Sam out fades.

Put up the untested Sophie against others who have survived nomination and chances are that that HM will go.....anyway she nommed him, so the favour was returned, in spades
