I think the opposite is true. Callum has a massive chip on his shoulder and has invented an anti-hero role for Dexter in order to fulfill his role of hero. He's upped the ante this week and gone for the martyr role.

Being nice isn't fake, being a gushing, simpering fool, is.

They wouldn't have had a problem with his 'niceness' if they hadn't thought it was fake.

thought being the operative word surely? there are nice people out there - I usually find it's people with a nasty streak that fail to see that - people like Jackie and Dan who swayed most of the other HM's opinion. Weaker people will join in( IMO) with this mentality - safety in numbers and all that. If they're picking on someone else then they feel a lot safer.

I would agree that Dexter and Gina were singled out at first but after the SH ........HM's knew they were popular and cranked it up on Callum - Dexter watched and saw it as an opportunity to ingratiate himself with the others and isolate someone other than himself. Up until that point I was impressed with Dexter - he went way down in my estimation after that.

BIB ^^^^ In the same way that you say Callum 'feels' that Dexter looks down on him. You can't have it both ways, Soozy,

Of course there are nice people out there - I know lots of them.

However, there are also sycophants and those who will gush over people to get what they want. In this case, we happen to disagree into which category that Callum falls.

Agreed Soozy, although I must admit to going right off Dexter when he was talking about rodeoing girls

He started doing it with Gina too, after the Rate The Housemates task.

The gushing over Charlie didn't annoy me half as much as his 'you have lost your number one fan' chat disturbed me. Manipulative and controlling are the adjectives I used for him after watching that.

Anyway, I love you all but we will never agree on Callum so, for the moment, I shall exit this thread and go watch CDWM. See you there, Baz.
