Nor me, nor sprouts Not you sprout
oooh I love the sprouts. But they still have to be firm, none of this cooking them for hours crap in our house.
That's reminded me of a recent phone conversation I had with my Dad, he was busy cooking Sunday lunch & told me the cabbage was cooking nicely and he was just about to put the potatoes on. THE CABBAGE WAS ALREADY COOKING BEFORE THE POTATOES. Soggy.

Aww bless! That's probably how his mum cooked cabbage , I was put off cabbage for life by my mum, she bought something she called greens and they were so bitter.
Turnip tops perhaps? I love cabbage, but Savoy is definitely my favourite.
I don't know but they were dark dark green, I think the shops used to call them spring greens, they weren't really cabbage I don't think but it just put me off cabbage. The almost white cabbages I see now look nice and I bet they taste entirely different.
Ah yes spring greens. I like them. To me white cabbage doesn't have much flavour.

I don't know what my mum did with them then they were horrible.
