What's it all about ?

A gorgeous detective who isn't afraid to step over the line and do bad things to get a good result.

Did I say he's gorgeous?  Well, he's gorgeous!

Thanks for the info Ells.

Being a confirmed Hetro-Male, the gorgeousness is not a selling point for me

And I've seen a few cop programmes where the lead character does what they need to do to get the result - so not really compelled to tune in.

Cheers Ells.

Ruth Wilson as Alice Morgan (who was in the first series, the start of the second series, and the final episode of the third series) might make you change your mind. Very striking and good actress playing the part of a psychopath who finds something of Luther's personality in herself - you can't call it friendship or love as her character is incapable of such feelings - but she feels drawn to him and wants to help him in her own unique way.

Hi EL,

When I read your post, the first thin g that came to mind was Sherlock Holmes and Moriarty!

Was reading on the BBC that there will be no more Luther as the lead character is now a big movie star, but there may be a prequel film.

Oh yeah, well on a totally non sleazy level....Alice Morgan is a brilliant character and the actress who plays her is captivating.  I loved her relationship with Luther.

The cases they work on are also very good to watch, very interesting and quite creepy at times.  I watched the 2nd episode of series 3 last night and actually had a creepy dream about the villain!!

So, apart from the obvious eye candy, it really is worth watching.

Yeah - Ruth Wilson's terrific.
The good news is that she's already been noticed by Hollywood: the bad news is that it was in "The Lone Ranger", which bombed badly. I hope she has more success with any Alice spin-off...
