GJ, I'm snowed under with work at present so don't have much time but I assume you don't have an answer to 25 across "Runner, last of four to get TV role (9)". I am sure that the answer to that is ANCHORMAN.

That means that 16 down becomes -E---A--

and 17 down becomes -A---C--

That may help a bit.

Born in Hannover, died in Ambleside. He designed that stone but the vicar wouldn't allow it, so his grave is in Hannover. We visit it every year.
