Walking through central London a couple of weekends ago (and past several of the sights in this film) i lost count of how many Pret a Manger places we passed - just wonder if the Lyons places were as numerous several decades ago.

I notice Erin that the film has the BFI logo in the top corner. I buy a fair few films and documentaries from the British Film Institute.

BTW, liked your editing of my post on another thread, threw me at first as I thought I had written it, but saw the funny side one the heart pills had kicked in
It's quite poignant really watching these old films knowing that most folk in them are long gone. By the way that ride "The Reel" was still there in the 1970's.

I too from time to time think the very same. But I love seeing how our towns and cities looked at the turn of the century and the years up to and around the 1970's
