and yes.. amazingly I have had a lovely birthday... had a few tears this morning... but they were shortlived bursts on account of Pupster.. (see what I did there Duckster 
) and my bloody wonderful husband.
Brought us very close this last year has... and the events of the last week even closer.
got some fab pressies.. black diamond stud earrings from the girl (real ones as well!!!).. perfume (Gaultier Classique), hand cream, OPI Nail Envy, a BAT BATON!! (Bat detector), a fab iphone cover, purse, ..
oh.. AND A PUPPPEEEEEEE!!!
I worked today & my friend took me to the pub for lunch!
Just sat out in the garden (waiting for puppy poo's).. looking at the fence with the full length panels of MDF nailed over it.. reinforcement measures to stop AJ tearing the fence down to get through to the border collie next door & rip his throat out.. I felt very proud of my lil terrorist.
Loki has made it so I can look at that & feel proud.. . rather than bereft!
Or maybe its the sleep deprivation (twas 5am again)

ION - I just took the cat some water & her biscuits up to my room.. was worrying she would be cat jerky if she hadn't managed to sneak down for a drink..
I was right to be worried. never seen a cat drink that much for that long!!!!
We have been told she will come round.... she cannot live under my bed forever!
