i have a french friend who is a teacher. He is very short and looks very young. He's in his forties now but looks about twenty. He told me of the morning he started his first teaching job. He'd gone in early to get the class ready. Another teacher came in and started shouting at him - telling him students weren't allowed in the building until school began

Awww, I bet that gave you a warm fuzzy feeling there was a time I was a teacher's assistant to 5 - 7 year olds and I loved getting to know them all and especially spending time with them individually. I love children's chatter about all the kinds of things they want to talk about. When I told the school I was going to the US for six weeks I was amazed on my last day there to receive  letters from all the children wishing that I have a good time and hoping I would come back and tell them all about the trip etc, it was so heartwarming. I bet you're happy you've had the opportunity of knowing them, and they obviously are enjoying the experience of knowing you
