Awwwww - how lovely
When I was teaching at a very rough school on a poor estate I was really touched at the Christmas pressies that they gave me. My particular favourite was a can of Carlsberg Special Brew.
When was 19 i began teacher training - i looked about 15
One child asked me,
"Sir - are you a boy or a man?"
Aww that's lovely Rawky.... Seems a couple of them don't just like you, they love you!
awwww that's so sweet
Aww they really do love you. Lovely gifts.
Not only do the kids love you, they also think you are handsome.
You are obviously good at your job, Rawky.

A sort of a back-handed compliment I guess Sainty
t'was a bit floral though. I gave most of the flowers to my female co-teacher..... i kept the chocolate and the big jar of homemade strawberry jam
aww how lovely, well done Rawky for making a great impression on the children
Am I the only one who sees 'At least the kids look like me' every time they look at the board? I keep seeing Rawky's avi beside it and think 'blimey he didn't hang about'

It'll be the gold tie!
i have a french friend who is a teacher. He is very short and looks very young. He's in his forties now but looks about twenty. He told me of the morning he started his first teaching job. He'd gone in early to get the class ready. Another teacher came in and started shouting at him - telling him students weren't allowed in the building until school began
I'm sooooo happy for you. It's just great.
How nice for you Rawky
You must be doing a good job Rawky
Should have included the comment I don't think you are a wanker either. Sorry.
Awww, I bet that gave you a warm fuzzy feeling there was a time I was a teacher's assistant to 5 - 7 year olds and I loved getting to know them all and especially spending time with them individually. I love children's chatter about all the kinds of things they want to talk about. When I told the school I was going to the US for six weeks I was amazed on my last day there to receive letters from all the children wishing that I have a good time and hoping I would come back and tell them all about the trip etc, it was so heartwarming. I bet you're happy you've had the opportunity of knowing them, and they obviously are enjoying the experience of knowing you
You got a good haul there glad your enjoying it
