Dame it is very disturbing.

But to be honest, I think in light of everything that's happened recently, those that have been abused by people in power, whether it be Celeb power or governmental power, are probably feeling more confident in coming forward because they feel that they will be listened too.  Good for them.

I totally agree Cinds, its a good thing in a way, but its dreadful these assaults have taken place in the first place.

It makes me so angry, that people can abuse and take what to most is the most treasured thing in life to give freely...not  to be used by some sordid sick creep.

Many years ago I was going out with a man who played in a very popular band from Swansea.I remember someone closely connected to the band was brother of Nigel Evans and talk about chalk and cheese....he was a right laugh and was completely baffled that he could have a brother who was a Tory MP and a ruthlessly ambitious complete and utter barsteward

Conservative MP Nigel Evans has said allegations that he raped a man and sexually assaulted another are "completely false".

The Deputy Speaker of the House of Commons strongly denied the claims and said he had no idea why they had been made by two people he "regarded as friends".

In a short statement outside his constituency home in the village of Pendleton, near Clitheroe, in Lancashire, Mr Evans said: "Yesterday I was interviewed by the police concerning two complaints - one of which dates back four years, made by two people who are well-known to each other, and who until yesterday I regarded as friends.

"The complaints are completely false and I cannot understand why they have been made, especially as I have continued to socialise with one as recently as last week.

"I appreciate the way the police have handled this in such a sensitive manner."

Later he broke from what he described as his "Sunday lunchtime pint" at his local pub to thank people for their messages of support.

He said: "This has been, notwithstanding, the loss of my mother and my brother, very recently my brother, the worst 24 hours of my life."

He added that the one thing that had kept him going was the support of villagers and of those who had left messages on Facebook.

Mr Evans' office also released a statement saying that he had asked to be excused from chairing the debate on the Queen's Speech next week and this had been accepted. However, he will be returning to Westminster this week as planned.

The 55-year-old was arrested by police at his home on Saturday morning on suspicion of raping one man and sexually assaulting another between July 2009 and March 2013. Both alleged victims are in their 20s.

After being questioned for several hours he was released on bail at around 10.30pm until June 19.

Not that there is anything wrong with a guy at 55 having friends in their 20's but I find it odd.

I suppose those of us who might be into the odd conspiracy theory and are cynical might think that this is the first warning shot in some sort of Tory party civil war. I know that Napoleon said that we shouldn't interfere when our enemy is making mistakes ....... But..... That Farrago one has said he wants to do a deal, wants rid of Cameron, David Davies suddenly appears out of nowhere. Calls for EC referenda, Xenophobia achieves a new hipness. Etc etc.

Nigel Evans, the  Tory accused of sexually assaulting one man and raping another, has revealed  a mysterious mark on his forehead is from a reiki massage.

The bruise was spotted yesterday  as he publicly declared his innocence on television after being arrested on  Saturday.

And today the MP and Deputy Commons Speaker revealed he got it on Thursday in  Chinatown in London’s Soho.

He said: “I was suffering from a migraine and happened to be passing a place  for Chinese medicine.

"They were advertising reiki massages, I thought it might help.

“I had a massage of my head and shoulders and as the chap came to finish his  fingers dug into my forehead.”

Mr Evans, who came out as gay in 2010, today said he felt “absolutely  staggered” to find four detectives at his door on Saturday morning.

He said: “They read my rights and were incredibly pleasant.

“It felt surreal, and for several hours I was rather hoping I would wake up  and be somewhere else – back in bed perhaps.”

Mr Evans, of Pendleton, Lancashire, was taken to Preston in an unmarked  police car and quizzed “in dribs and drabs” for 15 hours.

He has taken a week off from his prestigious role as Deputy Speaker, but  insisted: “I am determined not to let these allegations destroy either me or my  career.”

He was stood in my parents living room a few years ago... I did say this on here a while back. To say my Dad didn't think much of him would be an understatement. I should add that he and his mates pretty much invited themselves in.

He gets voted in every year. All down to the Clitheroe area though (less said about them the better).

WTF! Eh? This app will finish soon anyway. Whilst I'm sure I've told this story before........ I have a friend called Heiko. His Dad was captured on a U Boat and ended the war as a POW near Clitheroe. Heiko is still friendly with many people in that area. They love to refer to it as Clit Hero. We were sat sitting at a Baltic Sea resort as he told me this. Our mutual friend Petra said, nein nein nein, ist vagina hero. For the next ten minutes the German lads and lasses were all shouting at each other. I suppose you had to be there.
