Willard was Bens friend in the film of the same name (don't know about the book).

I read most of his books and Stephen Kings,though King began to annoy me later on.His early stuff was better.

It's years Kaffy since i read "The Fog" some sort gas type stuff turns those affected into raging muderous psychos.It's pretty gory stuff,i can't remember the gym bit!

the whole 'gym' thing would do that to me....     thanks Katty.   I'll wait for an explanation of what happened in the gym (don't make me read it!)

Maybe you could google it Kaffy. I've never read any of his stuff and generally avoid horror stuff from any source.

I was listening to J. Vine discuss him and his work. I have to say that I agree with EFFT I also avoid that genre. However Mrs Jer loves that sort of thing and is quite sad.

Haha, I just googled the gym scene, so that I could give Kaffs a full and frank answer, and this thred is on page one!

 

Kaffers ... It's been a hundred years since I read it, but from memory the fog gets into the school gym, turns everyone psyco, garden shears ... Missing bits of body!
