DIALOGUE BETWEEN A LADY INTERVIEWER AND A MALE BEER DRINKER:
Lady Interviewer: Do you drink every day?
Man: Yes.
Lady Interviewer: How much a day?
Man: Around 3 six-packs starting at noon.
Lady Interviewer: How much does a 6-pack cost?
Man: Roughly $10.00 at a deli.
Lady Interviewer: And how long have you been drinking like that?
Man: 15 years.
Lady Interviewer: So with a six-pack costing $10.00, and you consuming 3 six-packs a day, you are spending roughly $900 each month. In one year, you would then be spending $10,800, correct?
Man: Correct.
Lady Interviewer: If in 1 year you spend $10,800 on beer, not accounting for inflation, 15 years puts your spending roughly $162,000; correct?
Man: Correct.
Lady Interviewer: Did it ever occur to you that if you did not drink for the last 15 years, you could have bought a Ferrari?
Man: Do you drink?
Lady Interviewer: No.
Man: So where's your feckin' Ferrari?

Drinking beer or having a Ferrari? It's not a difficult choice, is it?

Nope, because I can't drive
I can drive, but am not a fan. I would rather drink beer, besides Ferraris don't appear in Maslow's hierarchy of needs.
1. Sex
2.Drugs (including beer)
3. Rock.
4. Roll
5. Football.
I think I've quoted that correctly.

But are they in the order of precedence Joe?

Fair point that really
It's not for me to determine. I'm sure someone with a greater knowledge of the social sciences than I will be along later to confirm that Maslow himself, suggested that Sex and Drugs and Rock and Roll and Football are all that one's Brain and Body need.
Some people need a Ferrari to get to #1 on your list, Joe.
Just saying, like
I would have thought it rather uncomfortable. Though to be fair I'm not an expert.

Replace football with Rugby and I'd agree with him.... but that doesn't include the super naughty drugs.
