I decided to upgrade the memory in my 27" Apple iMac.
So the memory arrived yesterday and tonight I am performing the upgrade.
If you don't hear from me for a while, then it's not worked

It's not usually a difficult job, just a bit fiddly 'cos of lack of room (inside the case)
I doubled mine recently, but found that when mine was originally built one of the locking tabs for one of the memory slots had been caught under the video card so I ended up having to remove the video card, put in the new memory then replace the video card. However, all seems to have gone well as I am here telling you all about it. (And reading this forum in the first place. )
I went from 8 GB to 16GB....Is it too fast?
*checks watch* When do we send out the search party...?

I was probably over dramatising the upgrade. It is quite straightforward on an iMac. All went well. I am now rocking 12GB of memory
Cheers Baz

I got a bit distracted watching a young girl reviewing her blu-ray collection. It was 30 mins long !!
She was kind of funny. But good to see films from 1950 & 1960 in her collection... but I digress.
Are you noticing a performance difference EC?
Not at the moment because I have about 50 browser windows open, a lot of them with YouTube videos playing, so I need to close them and things should be better.
I'm seeing a slight increase, but as I say, I need to housekeep !!

Shhh..! It's more fun when you go for the dramatic effect

I'm just thankful that all I have to do is remember to wind mine up before bed.
Haha Soozy. Is it that old?
