I own 2 pairs.  Flat red sandals (never been worn) and red mary-jane type ones that I wore once.

 

I'd wear other red ones though if they were nice enough.

I was desperate for red shoes a few years ago. I wanted court shoes, that looked smart, but not too high. Couldn't find any anywhere till I wandered into a cheap shop and they had a pair that looked just like I wanted.  So I bought them. £10. Wore them once, uncomfortable stiff plastic. They went in a charity bag a few months later!

 

I no longer have a real desire for any, but if I saw exactly what I was looking out for at the time I would definitely buy them

 

As far a female shoes go, as a bloke I have never found these attractive (is that the right word?) on a woman, especially with all the gubbins hanging off them.

 

That's it, defo not buying any now 

I could not walk on those shoes.

Balancing act: Although used to high heels, to be able  to walk on those super-thin shoes would have been a feat.

 I have 6 over stuffed boxes, relatively organised, under the bed, I'd estimate about 30 prs in each, (although that's prob's as accurate an estimation as the alcoholic who claims to his doc that he drinks 8 units a day!) I then have about 30 boxes of the 'special' ones. However i would estimate that between Nov- Feb, I have spent my time as thus: 40% Ugg slippers; 50% Russell Bromley flat black patent boots, 5%  ugg Boots, 5% other! 

I want to go to Soops's house...   & get out her shoe stash & just touch them, & hold them up, & basically perv over them!!!

 

What is it about shoes...    they don't even need to go anywhere near my (or anyone elses) feet...

Baz..  I like red trainers!     I do have a pair of red ballet pumps, and they are ok too.   But I know what you mean...    I tend to feel quite self conscious in red shoes

 

My Mum however, loves red shoes!  (but hates red lipstick or nail polish with a passion )

There used to be a saying where I lived - Red hat - no drawers. I bought my friend a gorgeous red hat one Christmas (years ago) and she told me the saying

Hold your hobnails, Supes   I've not committed just yet.  If they look cheap then I'm not buying   Mini and I are due a bit of a girly day shopping up in that there London soon; I need to see them in RL.  In fact, I'd rather try shoes on in a shop than buy online anyway

I wish I had known that. I kept bumping into a lady in various Morrisons aisles today. She had a red hat. If only I had known in advance I could have worn my mirrors on my hob-nailed boots.
