I've had some bathroom planners in designing my bathroom. Hmmmmmmmmm and . I do realise that you can only do so much in the allotted space and do like some of their ideas. The thing is - I think you could make such a statement with a really cool and unusual bath panel - they're all so boring - I've been looking and may go plain with some decal stickers or something like that. Anyone got any good ideas?

Slinki is usually my girl ........or Cinds

Inspiration needed - the more creative the better.

Cheers.

I really do have to learn how to post my own pics. I was just thinking the same thing myself Cinds (about waiting) - there is quite a bit of structural change gonna happen (cue groans all round - it'll be the kitchen saga all over again ) I think I'll have a colour in mind and wait and see what I can do when it's all done.

I'd still appreciate some ideas though .......keep em coming (I'm sort of thinking sea sidey theme).

Sooz if you're going to be spending a lot of money on a new bathroom then decals might take the look off it?   I like the idea of Stonks bath panel tiles (might actually do that when I finally get round to getting ours done) but sometimes I think decals look a bit tacky.  Although I do like those fishies

I hope that's not offensive Sooz....just throwing my 2 bobs worth in

I love the ones with the lights in them. But if you have the room, like someone suggested, why not go for a free standing bath. I know when I eventually redo my bathroom I'll extend it across the landing as there's plenty of room then I would def go for either a free standing bath or a double bath ( where 2 people can lie in it side by side)

Not at all .................I'm not sure Decals is the right word

..............I have some nice stuff in my hall and kitchen - something like this (although not found the right one  yet)http://www.amazon.co.uk/MEDIUM...358881485&sr=8-2

I'm going for a really fitted look ..................we are losing a bit of space as we're building an en- suite with some of the space. Won't be able to do free standing. Loving some of this stuff - I kind of like the idea of tiling the panel - Mr Woo is not so keen - I've seen the LED stuff - it's about the most imaginative stuff available - I just thought they'd be something more exciting.

Oooh yes, those are a lovely idea.  I like those!

I thought you meant something like this:

Fine for a kids bathroom but not really something you'd want your guests seeing  (Actually they aren't the worst decals I've seen....I kinda like those )

Soozy, It just so happens that I am an interior designer. Hand on heart the colour for 2014 is going to be avocado. Now I know what you are thinking, but you can be ahead of the curve on this one.

I have included two pictures below. Picture A is the colour I recommend and Picture B is one of my latest commissions.

Spot on. It took me months of research in South American prisons to get the look just right.

I used to love the tin bath in front of the fire on Saturday nights. My poor mum - what a lot of work it must have been.

My two girls had their best baths in the kitchen sink ....dried off on the draining board....

I've done that too Syd - when they were very small.

HAHAHA Mr C and I were just discussing that the other day.  Both of us were sink bathed in our childhood.  As was Master Cinds, but once he reached 15 I struggled to lift him in and out of the sink, and don't get me started on the difficulties of towel swaddling a 6 foot 15 year old.
