Horrible that people have lost their lives but yes, I agree with you Erin...It's the rescue people you have to feel for

Yep - terrible thing to happen, but surely going up in this weather is a pretty selfish act.

Apparently the avalanche risk was the second lowest (considerable), however in my opinion ANY avalanche risk is serious.

BBC news saying it's serious head injuries, but that could of course affect the spine.

Well, they sort of did. The avalanche risk level was -considerable-. Although that may be the 2nd lowest level, as it's only out of 4 levels that to me is a pretty big risk they were taking.
