As Soozy says the older I get the less it excites me! never done the clubbing thing - been to a few good house parties years ago. Used to love it at my Mum's when all the neighbours came out onto the street and conga-ed!!

Now we have a few nibbles and drinkies and watch Jools

Had some of the worst nights out of my life on NYE...   totally horrendous.

 

Last few years have done games night with the kids...  with tournaments & prizes... and nibbles.

 

Going to have to sort something similar out for this year, but minus the prizes...   am sooooo skint - spent everything I have on Xmas....  

 

Time to get inventive! 

For my younger readers........ RHB is Robin Hoods Bay. It's usually packed at new year. Traditionally one walks to Whitby on NYE, eats pies at Humble Pie, and drinks real ale at the Black Horse. Taxis back to RHB. Further real ale at various pubs, midnight feasts, and games. New Year's Day one walks to Ravenscar, and back to Fylingthorpe for further drinky poos.

Sounds like a jolly good new year joe, good on ya! We'll be eating party food, watching jools and then doing a big walk on New Year's Day
