apart from not being able to breathe, I now have to put up with my mother's illness. I can see well enough through my left eye, but my right is not playing ball. I hope I can get a consultation at home if not I'll be buggard. 
I know I shouldn't burden my fellow FMs with this, but on top of everything else, I have fallen out with my wayward daughter, so you are it. I'm sorry.

Thanks Baz, I know I've got the same as my mum. I've been tested for it all my live and now it's come about.
Col, I have spoken to my son's fiancÃĐe, who is a manager in an opticians and she says there are home visit services up here in Scotland and there ought to be something similar in your area. She suggests you google "Domiciliary Opticians" for your local area.
Don't know what to say ........wish we could make it better for you.

Pengy, I do wear glasses, but, strangely, as my sight gets worse, I can read and see better without them. My left eye seems to have become stronger as my right is weakening.
I don't want to be acting the victim, I just had enough yesterday. I have called my specs supplier and they will, indeed, come out to see me.
