Lovely isn't it Jen, written by John McGough, a friend of a best friend's son. Friend's son had James booked for a music festival he put on this summer, but he couldn't make it 'cos of his success on X Factor. Hope he can do next year I've never bought anything or gone to see anyone from X Factor, think I'm about to make an exception with James.

The X Factor had to draft in fake fans for Christopher  Maloney in scenes to be shown in tonight's (December 8) final, a  report has alleged.
According to The Mirror, extra staff were brought  in from other departments at the Liverpool Mutual Homes call centre where  Maloney used to work in order to "make up the numbers" when he visited his old  workplace.

An employee is  quoted as saying: "I don't actually work in here, I was just told to come down  and fill up the office because there weren't many people  apparently.
"They just said, come down and watch - and I might be on the  telly.
"I don't really know Chris to be honest, I'm sure he's a nice lad  but I can't really pretend to know anything about him."
It has been  claimed that 34-year-old Maloney's arrival at his former office was rehearsed  and his welcome instructed by producers.

Staff working on the show  allegedly also handed out placards in support of Maloney to people passing as he  disembarked a ferry in the city.
Meanwhile, Maloney's performance ahead  of tonight's final is apparently in jeopardy after he failed to fully rehearse  his songs. The Mirror also claims that during  rehearsals, Maloney "missed out high notes" and "only sang bits" of another  song.

I get why people don't like him but I think he's been treated quite bad by the other judges, they put him through to the judges houses not us, so they only have themselves to blame, there's no need to be rude to him

Reps for The X Factor have confirmed to EntertainmentWise that Christopher Maloney will not be taking part in tonight's final, as he walks away from the show and heads back to Liverpool.

Chris was voted off the ITV show last night leaving Jahmene Douglas and James Arthur to battle it out in tonight's final showdown. Now, a rep for the show has confirmed that the singer will not take part in the final show tonight:

"Chris decided he no longer wanted to be part of The X Factor Final and has gone back to Liverpool," a rep has told EntertainmentWise.

There's been speculation that the third place finalist was actually told to leave the show after a boozy night out following his vote off yesterday:

According to The Sun, the axed singer became "abusive" during rehearsals for the group song earlier today after realising he only had one line in the medley. Insiders tell The Sun he stormed off the set at Manchester Central and went back to his nearby hotel.

"Everyone is completely fed up of his behaviour" a source reveals.

"He was abusive to the production team and other contestants. He said he was leaving and didn't want to perform in the final tonight."

Meanwhile a tweet posted by ex contestant Carolynne Poole who is in Manchester for the final seems to hint at some kind of backstage drama, which may or may not involve Christopher: "X Factor can also create monsters it would seem!"

Whilst there's been no activity on Chris' own twitter account today, he did reveal his future plans on last night's Xtra Factor, admitting he already had offers on the table:

"At the minute I'm just taking everything in.  There's been quite a few offers made. I've only been out of the competition 20 minutes and there's been a few offers. So watch this space."

Maybe Chris just missed his nan?
