Its best to take your own bag. Saves supermarkets own bags and waste pollution thereof

If I'm 100% honest here - they frighten me just a bit. It's kind of like a Tourettes thing - I'm constantly thinking 'how easy it would be' to steal something. I am a very honest person and would never dream of stealing but ....................when I have a tiny item - I just can't help but think 'ooooh that'd be easy'

I have never done it but it always crosses my mind. Please tell me I'm not alone.

 Soozy!

Ells

i answer back.

i hear they arrested a woman today  as she was going through the checkouts with loads of small items and as she scanned one or two her arms got fatter and fatter, eventually her arms dragging along the floor as she made escape did for her, there was an unseemly scuffle by the disabled toilets, which came as quite a shock to the bloke who'd only gone in there to secrete multi packs or razors and a christmas cake , under his hat.

Yes, I use them all the time a couple of times a day and I would say it's very low the number of times I need assistance. I find them generally better and quicker than the regular tills.

Yes I have, but I do mess them up frequently lol I have a friend who uses those machines to get cheap steak; she picks the packaged tescos's finest steak off the shelves and then puts them through the self service tills as loose onions! I wouldn't dare, because I would get caught, but her whole family do it every time they go camping

Oh Waitrose here have that

I signed up for it but couldn't be bothered to use it.

As for self-service in general: can't be doing will the chaos and carnage I'd bring to the check out.  And besides, there's someone far more better trained in working these fangly things out.
