I v v rarely check my statements, however looked at my online bank statement this afternoon and saw a v hefty mobile phone bill, so went onto my vodafone account to see why that was: mostly legit' and my own fault, (I really shouldn't have switched my data roaming on q so often whilst in the middle of nowhere in Turkey recently!) However, for months and months now I have been getting unsolicited texts from Jamster, they irritate me as they tend to send 3+ in quick succession and I've just been deleting them and grrrring a bit.  Having looked at my bill, it turns out that they cost me ÂĢ1.25 a time and I reckon I've paid the best part of ÂĢ200 for texts that I didn't sign up for

Todays lessons: check my statements more often; switch off data roaming unless absolutely necessary whilst abroad; do something to stop unsolicited texts!

I learnt that the hard way

I left my phone at work Pengy so can't do that, but I've just both left a msg on their voicemail and emailed them asking them to stop. I phoned Vodafone first to find out who the company were, and the chap there was absolutely brilliant, couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful,  he found out the name of the company, (netsize,) and also rang them himself. He tells me that he was stung too.

I really don't recall ever having anything to do with them Pengy, I've certainly not had any ringtones from them or from anyone else for that matter, just use the standard ones. Unless I did something accidentally

You also mentioned Netfix in another post do you mean Netflix?  They are something to do with watching videos online - I know people who've signed up ÂĢ6 a month.  Or are they different companies

I sign up for nothing since my jamster problems  everything is just a scam to get money out of you - glad you had help from Vodafone though

ha ha never heard of them *goes to google* big company based in France by the look of it

When you're next in work - send them a text to stop as you can't rely on them paying attention to your phone messages and emails
