you never hear them talk about Rosaman Street now do you?  Wasn't that where the original Cabin was in the 70s when Mavis and Rita had a record shop at the back end of the Cabin?

I think that women abusers are looked upon as a "joke" by most people. 

But as katty said, they are terrible and most get away with it as men are too ashamed to talk about it.

I know from my cousin who worked on abuse in the home in the 80's with university professors  and set the systems that are in place now with the police and the courts about how the abused are treated. I don't usually watch the soaps, but I have been watching this story line with interest to see how they play it out.

I saw a headline couple of days ago that Maggie is working in a bar now. I didn't read the story so don't know if it mentioned she did some Corrie recording a while ago - when this storyline was being filmed. It will be interesting to see the circumstances in which Kirsty exits the show.
