I lasted a whole 2 bloody hours  pmsl....I wasn't prepared though.  Just woke this morning and decided to do it.  I'll prepare myself for tomorrow though and have some food in for the one meal I'm allowed on a fast day (between 400-500cals)

Sounds like hell  why put yourself through it Ells? Just go on a sensible diet and get an exercise bike and work off the cals while you're watching tv or something. A fasting diet seems masochistic - but good luck if you manage it.

 It's not JUST for the weight loss effect, it has very good long term benefits which I would benefit from.

 

I'll give it a good try anyway and see how it goes.  There have been some good results with intermittent fasting and I do think it might be doable as it's only 2 days a week.

Ah ok. Health benefits like clearing your digestive system out you mean?

I don't think I'd have the willpower. Mind you doesn't your stomach shrink when you don't eat.

The results seem to be that you eat less calories overall in a week just by fasting on the 2 days.  You eat normally on the other 5 days but the results show that you don't actually binge on those days because you aren't as hungry on the day after you fast....resulting in less calories in the 7 days than you'd normally have.

 

It would probably be simpler to just calorie restrict for 7 days but I hate counting calories
