So I was just going to go to bed about 3 hours ago when the Mr. flicked over to the US Open Final. My husband didn't last the distance, but I'm still here with my (nearly) month old son witnessing history. Well done Andy for being the first Brit since Fred Perry in the black and white pathΓ news era to win a Grand Slam. Team GB still on a roll. What a summer of sport

Feels great, doesn't it Suzy
Wonderful win for Andy Murray. So glad he's got the trophy, and will prove the doubters wrong now
It feels wonderful Katerina I'm a big fan of Djokovic (and Nadal, Federer and tennis in general) but I was willing Andy on tonight and claim him for Britain. He can go back to being just Scottish again next time he loses
Baby feed, and feel like I've done 5 sets too. Night

I adore tennis too, am so pleased for Andy, he will be number 3 in the world now, and is a much better player than a lot give him credit for.
Night Suzy, hope you get a good night's sleep(well, as good as can be with baby feeds)

It is indeed, he hired him this year. Seems to be paying off for him!

How fabulous . I can't believe that I only cancelled Sky Sports two weeks ago - when I went to turn the tennis on it had gone.
I'm so happy for him - an Olympic Gold medal and now his first Grand Slam .............brilliant!!!!
I don't watch tennis but well done to Andy!
it really is isn't it . What a great year for British sport - it's long overdue but it feels bloody marvelous.
