What's a chicken ball special?

It's the large battered chicken balls you get with sweet and sour, the special is usually the chicken balls with rice chips and any sauce, curry gravy S&S etc.

I've just ordered a pizza (same shop I've been using for a few years now) Because it's the only one in the area that does 8 inch ones. I cant eat a 10 inch one all to myself. Anyway, tried to order one tonight and they now say order has got to be a fiver minimum. They've just lost a customer and I told them so.

Jaysus I'd snatch their hand off for a fiver delivery, the on'y thing under a fiver in our takeaways is chips....

Cheap as, ummm, chips up here!

I could get a chicken ball special delivered from the local chinese for £4.80

When we go over to England we live in resturants cos its so cheap there..Our chinese does'nt deliver but chicken ball special would be about €8..our Indian is 5 miles away and their minimum is about €15 or €18 if its below they charge you €5....

That's scandalous!  Luckily we have a chinese, chippy, pizza place and Indian all within a few minutes of us so we usually don't order it for delivery and just collect it instead but most of the other places are in town and it's only between £1.50 - £2.50 delivery charge and not many places make you place a large order....in fact there's only one that I can think of but then they rip the arse of their prices too.

We get loads of people up from over the border to do their shopping here aswell (we're on the border with donegal) as the prices seem to escalate the further south you go!

I don't know what made me think it but I thought you were in Scotland..Yes we used to go up to Enniskillen to the Asda for our food shopping but since Lidl and Aldi came here it forced our shop prices down but takeaways are still expensive....

I'm the same and I always keep my freezer stocked up with pizza and garlic bread for them to save them money....

ewwww, sorry, but that sounds horrible

And Ells ... I always thought that you were in Scotland too!!

Rexi

I think I sometimes type as I'd talk, with a few 'Aye's' here and there so maybe that's why you's thought I was Scottish.

Stonks....Can't believe you can't get a pizza for less than a quid down south.  Does Iceland not do them?  We did our shopping in Lidl over the border once and it was shocking how expensive it was compared to what we would have spent up here.  We go over the border for diesel though so at least there are some things cheaper down there?

Rexi...Chicken balls are nice.  I don't order them often but they are lovely with fried rice and curry sauce.

Ells

We don't have an Iceland here Ells, pizza normally costs us about just under €5 unless its on offer, its very expensive here, we went for a meal here the 4 of us with drinks and it cost me €99, we went for a meal in England same amount of drinks and it cost me £43 I thought they'd made a mistake....
