Aww I like that idea.

It's not really a 'game', but I concentrate on making each part of my body really heavy, attaching mental weights to my legs, arms etc until I feel I'm sinking into the bed, it really makes you relaxed.

Can't remember who told me about it but it works for me!

I just count..   numbers...    1, 2, 3, etc..

its a desperate ploy, if I am having one of those nights it has a 50:50 chance of succeeding..     I wish counting the other halves snores would work..    but when I track his snores its more a countdown..   to stabby rage time

last couple of nights we have had the fan on in the bedroom, oscillating between us (its hot as hell still here)...   I have found that quite hypnotic - waiting for the wonderful cool to come back to me..

problem was that today at work, when the fan was on oscillate it made me sleepy then too

whenever I get to the stage of saying I am gonna set the spare room up as a spare room (its currently a clutter storage room), he miraculously manages to stop snoring for a while.    He thinks it would be bad for our marriage if we slept separately - yes, I have pointed out that being driven to the point of fantasising about smothering him to death with the pillow isn't exactly nourishing the love

anyways..   I have discovered the "sleep aid" tablets, supermarkets own brand ones, available at the pharmacy in Asda, Tesco & Sainsburys.   They contain the same sleepy stuff as night nurse & benylin, but with dosages precise for the intention.

Been using these quite a lot over the past few weeks (Mum stress), but decided when the last lot ran out not to buy anymore to "keep in".    I am so bad, if they are in the house then I will take them...

So, am not medicating to get to sleep at the moment, saving those measures for when I need them

Oh & cos its so god damned hot here we are the fan on in the bedroom, it is quite noisy but its a constant noise you can get used to, AND IT DROWNS OUT THE WARTHOG OF LOVE
