I'm a Celebrity 2012

I’m A Celebrity 2012 could see Tory MP Louise Mensch enter the jungle.

The author stood down from the House of Commons this week, saying she wanted  to focus on her family life.

According to The Sun however Louise is already wanted by ITV for the  upcoming series of I’m A Celeb.

“Louise is outspoken, glamorous, fiercely independent and highly intelligent.  She would be fantastic viewing,” one source claimed.

The insider told the newspaper: “She is very much on our wish list for this  year and we would love to get her on board. But it is very early days and  nothing is confirmed yet.”

The outspoken MP was elected in 2010, and made no secret of her opinion on  the way women in politics were treated.

She previously complained: “Everything I said was washed away under the  fluffy bunny of things.”

Earlier this year the mum hit headlines after admitting to taking class A  drugs live on Question Time.

I’m A Celebrity 2012 will air on ITV1 in the autumn.

Strictly Come Dancing

British Olympic champion Victoria Pendleton is “desperate” to join Strictly  Come Dancing 2012.

The cyclist scooped a gold and silver medal at this year’s London games,  which she previously announced would be her last competitive event before  retiring from the sport.

The 31-year-old told the Sunday Express that she’d be up for  swapping her lycra cycling shorts for a sequined ballroom gown.

“If they asked me I’d definitely consider it. I can’t dance and I’ve always  wanted to be able to, so I’d really enjoy that,” she told the newspaper today. “Plus, I’ve been in sweaty Lycra for the last I don’t know how many years, so  being in a sparkly frock and high heels really appeals to me.”

The brunette beauty told the tabloid: “Instead of wearing a helmet it will be  lovely to have my hair smooth and sleek. I’m really into my beauty products,  it’s been my one indulgence.

“I haven’t been able to drink and don’t go out so tottering around the beauty  counter is the only way I’ve rewarded myself. If there’s a new product I buy it,  they see me coming a mile off.”

It was reported earlier this week that Strictly was in competition  with  rival reality shows Dancing On Ice and I’m A Celebrity to sign up this year’s  Olympic stars.

The new series of Strictly Come Dancing starts on BBC One  September.

Strictly Come Dancing

Olympic gold medalist Mark Hunter has revealed he hopes to join the Strictly  Come Dancing line up this year.

The rower, who defended his gold medal at the London games earlier this  month, said he had already been offered other reality shows.

“I have had one or two offers of reality shows but none of them really appeal  to me at all, although other shows do,” he said.

Mark told The Sun today: “There are some that show people in the  right way and others where it is just people trying to make a name for  themselves. I don’t watch those and I wouldn’t want to go on them.”

He added: “But I really enjoy the dancing ones — they are amazing.”

Mark explained how he was looking forward to taking some time off after the  games.

“I am going to take a few months off after the Olympics,” he said. “I want to  do other things, I want to play football with my friends, go skiing and do some  other activities.”
