Pirate, sorry I can't do links right now but a really good authority on ukuleles is Joe Brown (and his son Pete's no slouch either)
Do a google search: he's the same bloke that used to sing with The Bruvvas..!

My son plays and they're very expensive for a good one, we got him a starter one which is good enough for now and it was only €28 from our music shop....they have them on ebay....
