Aye and it's going to be a 'Blue Moon' tomorrow night.........
Honestly though I can't see the moon where I am so I have no idea what size it appears to be tonight.

I will be reading your comment in about 20 minutes.
Obviously, you won't be reading mine until 12:45.
No moon up here, Summer. I think it's hiding.
it's when there's two full moons in one calendar month sweet
second one's a "blue moon"
Nope! Not sure why it's called a blue moon
Nope! Not sure why it's called a blue moon
It's a recurring full moon in a four week period, I think. How about just this:
Just wasn't sure why it's referred to as a blue moon rather than by any other name Cologne

It's called a blue moon because it only happens in a blue moon, but I still haven't managed to find the original expression for things happening in a blue moon.
OK, apparantly, blue in old English meant 'betrayer', so if the full moon came round twice instead of once, the ppl wouldn't have trusted it, hence the expression 'in a blue moon', it has happened tonight (31st August), but the weather is so bad in this part of Devon, I can't see the moon.
It has been very bright the last couple of nights.
I have to admit to winking at it and thinking of Neil Armstrong - something his family wished us to do by way of a remembrance...
A family statement concluded with a request: "For those who may ask what they can do to honor Neil, we have a simple request. Honor his example of service, accomplishment and modesty, and the next time you walk outside on a clear night and see the moon smiling down at you, think of Neil Armstrong and give him a wink."
