Oh Aims i know i shouldnt but this made me laugh, you really don't have much luck do you mate?
Sorry for laughing Aims but I reckon scientists would be very interested in your astonishing ability to break electrical goods. It's an exceptional talent.
Seriously though, I hope you get it sorted soon, you need it to keep up with BB.
Oh dear Aims .....................you really don't have a lot of luck do you?
was it white
hope you get it sorted soon check your plug fuse first before thinking drastic
Have you tried changing the batteries in the remote Aimes?
And no, I'm not being sarky, according to hubby there was something seriously wrong with our TV and he'd have to get onto Sky today ... moan, moan etc.
I suggested he tried new batteries - and it worked!
Have you tried switching it off and switching it on again, or kicking it?
Right i'm totally confused i know it doesn't take much the sound is on the tv but no picture, i've tried little Aims tv downstairs and that says no signal, i've been outside and looked at the aerial and it looks abit lopsided but i can't be sure it hasn't always looked that way but i'm on Virgin so i didn't think i used the aerial on the roof, i'm worn out
I'm really not laughing here Aims
hope it's something simple like a blown fuse

Since December it's been the fridge freezer, washer, hoover and laptop i'm really on a roll now lil Aims has now accused me of breaking her TV its all go here today
Aimee, try checking the cables to see if one of them has got slightly loose.
Maybe your electrics need looking at,as in the general wiring of the house, power surges etc can blow things?
As El said, it sounds like a loose cable, Aims. Make sure they are pushed right into the back of your tv/cable box etc.
Yup was just gonna suggest5 the same after reading your post about sound with no picture, thats usually caused by a scart lead (the rectangle ended ones with all the pins inside) being loose
Update, the TV is on the driveway i now have lil Aims TV working in the living room, she says i can use it till i get a new one but if Football is on then she has control of it she picks on me you know
Virgin Media did checks and the conclusion was the TV was knackered, i know how it feels
Thanks for your help though

Sorry to hear about your latest electrical failure, Aimee!
My DVD player stopped working a couple of weeks ago, I had sound but no picture, but it was the scart cable, it had worked loose and wasn't pushed in far enough.
Aims, hope you're sorted but, I have to admit to laughing all the way through this thread
I'm soooooooooooo glad you find my breakdowns so funny My daughter comes in and says *mother what have you been up to now* i seriously don't do anything, they just explode i'm still watching my borrowers tv
