Our Morrisons have a 'special' range can't remember what it's called - they have lovely beef wellingtons, steaks with stilton sauce but the best is the belly pork - not too fatty but just enough and the crackling is properly crackly.

Well blow me , I bought that pork belly joint from Morrisons this afternoon

Don't you find it rather a shame that such a magnifcant animal is ground up and put in a pie? 

Not really - there's nothing quite so lovely as Aberdeen angus steak - it is what they're bred for.

One searches the Morrison's chuckout while droning the mantra, "can I eat that ?" Since the big changeover Morrison's salads are sheight, if I may say so.

I rarely go to Morrisons as the nearest one to me is at Cowgate and is full of people that need a damn good wash who are shopping in their pyjamas. 

Tesco salted tortilla chips.....way better than doritos.  I have had to stop buying them though because I end up eating the whole bag by myself *piggy smiley*

If a few more people were partial to a panda steak i daresay there'd be a few more of them on the planet

As for supermarket food, i like asda huge fresh lasagne. Making you own cost more and makes so much more mess lol

Today at a Morrison's somewhere in the north of England, a Morrison's with a chuckout consistently cheaper than any other of their branches, mrs Jer and I discovered many of their famous takeaway range at 49p each, that's a saving of three poond a time. We returned home festooned with jalfrezi, vindaloo, and rogan josh. A dozen in fact. One is reminded of an anecdote concerning David Livingstone. Someone in his party observed him pick up stones and then throw them away. He was asked later what they were. "diamonds" he replied. "would you be able to find them again?" "yes, but you would not!" He did not want the area to be spoilt by strangers. Life's like that.

Ohhh, I love chuck out time at Waitrose ... next weekend we have a big family party and we are going to cook the turkey that we manhandled home at 5 pm on Christmas eve. Full price over 50 pounds ... we paid 13 pounds

 

Velvet ... tesco used to do a fabulous Value spinach and ricotta cannelloni. It was really tasty and dead cheap. They don't do it anymore - I think someone must have twigged that there isn't a lot of difference between finest and value vegetarian stuff.
