I realise that some on here Fathers may have passed away, but it's also nice to commemorate too.

I'm so proud of my kids today. They've spent a good few hours doing some gardening (the older ones wielding saccateurs (sp) and the mower, while the little ones did the weeding).

All to give their dad a break from taming the jungle now that there's been at least 2 days without rain. I've got my father, and my husband's Uncle (identical twin of my husband's late father...my 3 year olds think they're the same person though) over so we're spoiling them too.

Sounds lovely Suze. I have some very happy memories of Father's day with my dad, have been to the cemetery to put a fuchsia plant, (his favourite,) on his grave. Hope all of those who are dads and/or are with their dads today are having a lovely day and those of you who are missing their dads enjoy their memories of time together.

Ah Lee, I remember  It's my husband's 2nd Father's Day without his dad (he died on Dec 30th 2010) and I noticed him and his Uncle (his dad's identical twin) having a moment earlier. They're watching footie together (with my dad and brothers) and getting through some cognac. It's a good thing his wife is driving later!

I'm good thanks Lee. Just lolled about today being waited on like it was mother's day  Yeah, it was hard for him but he's cheered up about the baby being named after his dad it's a boy.
