There are several things it could be but something like this does need a doctor to check it out. You should make an appointment to see your doctor in the next few days. It may be nothing so the doctor can put your mind at rest, it may be something more serious so the sooner treatment can start, the better.I could put a link to a list of things it might be, but I think it would be irresponsible for me to do that as trying to diagnose it yourself could well give you a totally false answer.

Do not delay, hoping it might go away by itself.

GJ, what's that all about?!

As El Loro points out none of us are experts and if anyone is worried they should seek medical attention.

However Vitiligo is the loss of pigment usually in unsightly patches. In my company there was a definite proven link to a particular chemical used in the industry which occured years before I took on the Union mantle. Eventually affected workers were compensated.

My mother in law had it too but we could never pinpoint any cause. I think it can probably occur naturally, that MJ one thought so.

My brother in law has vitiligo it started on his arms, lack of pigmentation patches show up white whilst the rest of the skin tans. He's now in his fifties it started in his thirties. It has now spread to his torso and face,he has to wear full sun block on his skin in the summer and get special make up on prescription for his face. You should get the doc to have a look anyway.
