I'm ashamed to even read about this, let alone believe it has happened!

Close Protection UK confirmed that it was using up to 30 unpaid staff and 50 apprentices, who were paid ÂĢ2.80 an hour, for the three-day event in London. A spokesman said the unpaid work was a trial for paid roles at the Olympics, which it had also won a contract to staff. Unpaid staff were expected to work two days out of the three-day holiday.
Shocking!
there probs are elements of truth in the report.
but when the whole story comes out , i willing to bet its been hyped up by the press to flog more papers.
although large comanies involved in this sort of work and cleaning companies too are usually a bunch of asswipes.
Nothing surprises me at all in class hate Britain. I actually think it's becoming common morality not to give a shit how others are exploited as long as you aren't one of their number and you benefit from their labours. As long as the unemployed can be stigmatised as petty criminals and wilfully ignorant, anything goes.

Yeah, but as erin highlighted ^^ they don't deny it per se. So I'd imagine it's yet another grubby element to the summer festivities ahead and the exploitation that is likely to occur thanks to the secret activities of LOCOG.
A nice private room in the King Edward's Hospital you mean?

Its like the 1970's all over again!
ECT to the coalition then, Carport.
seems it is true as the company has now apologised for the lack of care they showed to the 'workers'.
would they have apologised if they hadn't been caught?
i doubt it, because they wouldn't have seen that they were doing anything wrong..
