I watched a bit of Aaron on the Wright Stuff.

I hated Aaron in the house, but he came across quite well today I thought. He offered to give advice to this years intake after they come out should they need it & was talking about Barzinger's bar he & Faye have set up together.

As well as being open as a bar and cafÃĐ, the new establishment will also look to offer a platform for youngsters in Weston to gain qualifications and apprenticeships.

Sounds like a great idea

Aaron has just tweeted:

Apparently the truth isn't appreciated.

I've been lurking on DS, and it's incredible (though perhaps not surprising) how so many replies on there are turning this revelation into a discussion about Aaron.

Personally I'm very glad he's said this. There has been a lot of concern about this over the years, both in terms of Endemol sticking in HMs who aren't suitable, and regarding the after-show care. How things have changed since C5 took over is a big issue, as they seem to be a lot less willing to question Endemol's decisions than C4 were.

BB certainly does have after-show care: Harry recently said in interview that he took advantage of it (although he's probably one of the HMs who needed it least). However in recent years HMs who've come out of the house unhappy about the way they were portrayed or treated have often been unwilling to take advantage of it as they perceive it to be an extension of the show.
Regarding BB12 in particular: the lack of live feed does mean it was a lot harder for us viewers to see the danger signs, although there were one or two HMs I was concerned for. And then there were the rumours that at least 2 or 3 HMs were on anti-depressants while in the house...

Aaron slated the BB production team for their lack of after- care, claiming that 4 Hms from last year have been suicidal during the last year.

No, gave it a miss. The claim that after series care was negligent seems to be part of the BB routine.  I wonder if their agents tell them to put in a claim and chance their luck once their 15 minutes seconds are over.

True, but I think there are examples where it's been proven to be justified.

The stand-out case has to be Sree from BB10. Leaving aside the question of why he was allowed on the show in the first place, it was blindingly obvious to everyone watching his behaviour inside the house and immediately on leaving that he was unstable. And yet, BB still allowed him to keep appearing on BotS, and kept playing up to his belief that he was a big celebrity. IMO, there were quite a few on the BB staff who really needed to take a long, hard look at themselves after that series..,.

Shabby has tweeted her agreement with Aaron.

'I think @Aaronspoppets is right. The aftercare for Big Brother is pretty dire'

The whole thing has lead to one of the biggest threads on DS for a while, and predictable anti-Aaron comments and some outright crazy ones, such as the FM who compared Aaron supporters to the women who write love letters to Peter Sutcliffe

It is interesting reading and can be found on post #321 of the following page,

I read that yesterday, and yes: it is very interesting.

The story about her "private space in the house" being boarded up is rather disturbing. Yes, it is possible that there was just a "communications breakdown", but even then BB's actions come across as irresponsible. Shabby obviously had "issues" in the house, but she was - to her credit - trying to deal with them, and BB had a responsiblity to her and the other HMs to respect that.
