Huw Edwards introduces full, uninterrupted live coverage of the final day of Her Majesty the Queen's diamond jubilee celebrations. To mark this special occasion, the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh, together with other members of the royal family, attend a national service of thanksgiving at St Paul's Cathedral.

The diamond jubilee celebrations continue with a stunning display of pomp and pageantry. Huw Edwards is joined by celebrities, historians and royal commentators at the majestic setting of Buckingham Palace to present live coverage of the afternoon's events.
 
Senior members of the royal family travel by magnificent carriage procession from the Palace of Westminster to Buckingham Palace to mark 60 years of the Queen's reign.
 
At the end of the afternoon, all eyes are turned on Buckingham Palace for the climactic balcony appearance and fly-past. 
 
 
The Queen will speak to the nation at 6.00pm via a pre-recorded message filmed at Buckingham Palace yesterday afternoon 
 
 
 
The Diamond Jubilee Concert Highlights

 BBC1 3:45pm to 5:30pm
 
Highlights of the diamond jubilee concert, featuring a star-studded line-up of performers including Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Ed Sheeran, Jessie J, JLS, Kylie Minogue, Robbie Williams and Alfie Boe, who performed on a spectacular stage built around the Queen Victoria Memorial, right in front of Buckingham Palace.
 
Hosts include Rob Brydon, Miranda Hart, Lenny Henry and Lee Mack.
 
Proceedings conclude with HM the Queen lighting the National Beacon.

That concert was awesome last night. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute

 

I love live music with a passion & the BBC orchestra were outstanding

 

Also, bloody well done to the BBC for such amazing flawless coverage.....So much to organise & the whole thing went without as much as a single hitch....Excellent

 

And ok, if I had 1 tiny grumble.....Cheryl Cole cannot sing that is all.

She was abysmal... and she'll know it.  I was just visiting my sister and the highlights were being shown this afternoon.    It look like pretty much the same running order as last night - but guess who wasn't on it?
