Not me, I'll enjoy the extra day off but will avoid all the usual sycophancy and forelock tugging.

Ditto, except I had to apply for Annual Leave for the Tuesday,
I'm not taking it off so I can enjoy the Jubilee, I'm taking it off because there'll be no bus service.

rules and regulations have changed for running street parties and the procedure for closing the road off is now quite costly and through your local council
you can still do pavement- park- pub car park- parties etc without the officialdom

There's one where me mum lives. I don't see any harm in celebrating something of this nature. I like what the East Germans called "old certainties" and the Queen is one of 'em. Hasn't put a foot wrong in decades.

That's how I feel, I don't mind Queenie - I'll probably watch something about it on telly, I got quite into Wills wedding in the end.

The wedding was lovely, my hangover was not !
My next door neighbours are having an afternoon tea party which is bound to turn into a very boozy do. It'll be a novel experience for me and Mr Woo to observe everyone under the influence

Aww, we had quite a giggle on Willie's Wedding thread on the day; don't think any of us got dressed until lunchtime
I quite like the look of this:
The Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant Sunday 3 June 2012 :
This event will take place on the Thames and consist of up to 1,000 boats assembled from across the UK, the Commonwealth and around the world. The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh will travel in the Royal Barge which will form the centrepiece of the flotilla.
I'll raise a glass to Her Maj and the Dook wherever I am

It was a good day on here too - wonder if we'll get the same sort of day if Harry marries that one from The Saturdays?
If I didn't have to rely on Public Transport then I'd be quite happy to work it Joe, but the Public transport will be taking the day off.
