I dont download music much, but I used to have a thing (think it was called 360 pro share...had a smiley face as a logo).  I paid for a lifetime membership and used it for a number of years,  but now i have no access to any of the email accounts I used then, and cant find the same site online (I dont think its the 360 share pro site that is coming up on google).

So where do you recommend for music downloads?

If you just want to download and go I would avoid iPlayer tbh, as you say they can be difficult if not impossible to play on other formats.  MP3's is the way to go, they can be downloaded from any site, HMV, Tesco, Amazon etc and of course Spotify where you can listen to the full track and not just a clip and also then purchase the track.  I am not up to speed on the various costs but all pretty much of a muchness I would have thought.
