MiniMe was spinning around on the spot last night giggling one minute the BANG! blood and crying the next

She'd fallen with force into the tv stand and split her eye brow open! (1st phew she just missed her eye, which could have been so much worse) decided to take her to A&E as it may need stitches.

When we got there there was only one other person there! 2nd phew (i was expecting to be there hours!) They cleaned her up and used that glue stuff on it, we were home about an hour after we left! With Minime right as rain and once again giggling away.

Anyone else have a near miss recently?

When I was in hosp, after just having my daughter...my husband turned up with the children to visit...my youngest boy, then nearly 2 had a Huuuuuge egg shaped lump right in the middle of his forehead....he had tripped and headbutted the skirting board.. Ouch!

it is def a worry

y youngest grand son (then aged 20 months) fell off the arm of the sofa. He hurt his arm - went to hosp was X Rayed given the all clear and sent home - a week later back to the hosp as it still wasn't right - sent home again. After three weeks the hosp rang and said - the X Ray had been looked at again and it was indeed a fracture - he was consequently in plaster for two weeks. Poor little mite.

He really is one tough cookie though - we knew he wasn't right but he hardly complained at all.

My two grandsons are the same - chalk and cheese - I swear little Jack will be a rugby player - he's little/stocky and as tough as nails!

Well hopefully none of yours will turn out like my sister...an accident waiting to happen is that one...always has been!

Barney get some Arnica gel on it,the bruising heals much quicker,if you manage to get it on when the accident first happens it greatly reduces the bruising.I keep a pot of it in the fridge, miracle in a jar I call it,a must have when kids are around getting the usual knocks and bangs but also great for other things including arthritis
