Yeah, it's the first time I've ever lived outside a town/city (accept for 2 against my will years when I was 12)..... I learnt to drive a few years ago and went a bit mad It's a nice compromise where I am now. Not too far from civilisation (If you can call Boston that )

Dunno why but that tickled me

We recycle everything in the bins 'cept plastic and card which is a pain cos it's them that take all the space up in the grey bin 

See now, they take our plastic and card. It goes in the part of the bin with the bottles and cans 

That said........that could be vinegar bottles and bean and coke cans 

That's it though, we have a huge paper mill in our town so you'd think that the council would have no problem off loadin a load of card

Why single this fred out? 

What i want to know is this.. who puts things in my empty bin?  Every time, without fail that my paper bin is emptied.... i look in it before I put new stuff in and there's a tin can, or a crisp packet... and it's always a cheap crisp packet at that, lying in the bottom of it.   My bin doesn't stand outside the gate for less than 5 minutes after it's emptied.  Who does this?  The bin men?   Anyway... i just hide the offending article(s) under a pile of next fortnight's paper and card.

Can you get special traps to catch the little varmits?

I had a brown bin for grass.. plants waste I am sure it cost me £50 plus a year but my memory is awful ..my daughter was saying last night she is going to get one and I was saying to her I could not remember exactly how much I paid but sure it was over £50..

I'm in Glasgow we have a brown wheelie bin for garden "waste",grass, hedge clippings etc it's emptied every fortnight,no extra charge.
