There is a fine line between spoof narated documentaries and the real thing.

I think that we are entering the summer schedule of duff TV. Neither prog seemed much more worthy than an hour apiece. I think we got the message pretty quickly.

However, Peter was absolutely fascinating and how he evolved from being a well rounded politically aware teacher into someone unashamedly playing country music was surely worthy of an hour.

I'm determined to watch all the old ones before next monday, because I couldnt' see Peter as much other than a bit of a doofus.

He only took part up to age 28 so there's not that much of him to watch.

Oh right.. I forgot that was what put me off him first - when he said he'd only decided to take part again to promote his 'band'    They reminded me of the hippy couple from The Voice

Yes - it ended on a high note. Oh well .....................that's it until they're 63 - OMG.......................I'll be 62. I remeber being mortified at the end of 49 up - where do the years go?

D'ya think we'll all still be here in 7 years time

Do you think my kitchen will be finished?

they all seemed happy and well rounded, well there was the bitter woman who moved to scotland , but she seems to be the only sour note.

I wonder if the fact they were being interviewed every 7 years had any effect on how they  developed?

I know some backed out  some years, but I think it would affect me if i thought i'd have to watch myself being a dick , or worse on national telly...

maybe i am just that shallow tho...

Did you think she was bitter? I thought she'd had a very hard life but was making the best of it - I guess we all see things differently. I'm glad I haven't had to suffer some of the knocks she has.

As for the effect of the series - I guess you'd pull your finger out and maybe lose a bit of weight and tart up the house a bit for the cameras

Possibly.  At a pinch....

That was Jackie.  She did have a bit of a yo-yo life though which made me feel sorry for her.  Her attitude was another matter.

I'd hate to be filmed.  I can't even bear to think about what I was like at 14, 21 etc.  *cringe*
