They seemed to have cull of *false* names a few months ago.... and several on here lost their accounts....... I am sure someone will be able to tell you what to do about it

Thing is I liked my facebook persona and don't really see why it should be an issue facebook moderator people...

If you can't use a false name time to bail out.

It's getting ridiculous.

I don't think your fb is deleted but it will be disabled until you use your real name.Yo have to use your real name so others, school friends ect can find you ( thats their excuse)

I don't trust facebook.I use my real name but a few months ago I noticed I  had "Aquired" dozens of Friends etc.I  didn't really bother about it until I  got a warning notice from facebook stating that I  was adding people I didn't know etc.(I assume someone reported it) I didn't add any of them.They said my account would be suspended etc.I deleted the "friends"and stated my account has been hacked.I changed my password.That seems to have sorted it.

i use an obvious fake name, they haven't found me out as yet.

i rarely log into  f/b tho.

Yeh, they killed Slinki Witch awhile back - during the first C5 BB thingy . Think a few of us got booted off around the same time ,

I don't trust it too much either to be honest which was the primary reason for my using a 'fake' name

It all sounds a bit Stalinist to me.

Would this mean setting up a new profile though ?

It wouldn't be entirely untruthful as I have DJed under the name and was considering making some music using the same name.

Happened to me once just make up a fake real name and they'll not know

Comrade mine was suspended too

I added an extra letter to my soo-doh-nim and i was allowed back in BUT it was a new account

I went from Saint Etienne to Sainte Etienne

Its odd that they offered all my old contacts as "possible contacts"

My account was suspended, until I gave them my real name.

Then my real name one was suspended (I suspect it was reported during CBB), until I sent them proof of ID! 

I dont know why but i find that very funny.

I find it weird that they are so strong on this rule.... data collection anyone?

Would foil any plans to use a fake real name.

Makes me wish I'd stayed off it as I had done for the longest time. Now on the horns of a dilemma as I've become used to it for keeping up with social events and such.
