I couldn't see that anyone else had posted a thread following the death of this great politician so I thought I would. We need more politicians of his honesty and his fight for disabled people.

Sad news. I agree with everything you said about him, Squiggle.
I remember him fighting so hard for deaf people when so many deaf and disabled people were actively discriminated against.
He was what I expected a politician to be, more or less. If we have to have them then why can't we have decent, caring people like him rather than the self centred, greedy, ambitious rabble we are stuck with?
A politician that truly cared...R.I.P
I don't know much about him but he sounds like a rare gem, may he rest in peace

same here summer but to show how peeps succeed despite deafness can only be inspirational
