I agree. I dislike both Boris and Ken. Will probably go for Paddick as he's always seemed a decent sort to me.

It might be trendy to scoff at liberals but but there was a nice little show on BBC4 on monday night that shows exactly what the socialists and the tories did to this country. It's called "The 70s", you should check it out

In that case, you'll be well aware of my points of view.
It's not so much that it's trendy to scoff at Liberals more a case of the Lib Dems like Clegg, Laws and the Ginger Rodent being closet Tories who are instrumental in the class warfare that the Tories are waging.
You can't really knock the Tories because essentially the Lib Dems are Tory enablers at the current time. For a short while in the 70s there was the Lib/Lab pact. Coincidentally, that period was a period that led up to the so-called "Winter of Discontent".
Britain has never had a socialist government. The closest the country ever came to a socialist government was after the war. The Callaghan government ended following right wing monetarist policies to keep in with the IMF.

Since the advent of New Labour, I've voted very much for the person rather than the party.
Due to where I've lived in those years, it has meant that I voted Labour, purely because both MPs concerned tended to vote the way I would have had I been in Parliament. However, with the retirement of my current MP at the next election, I'm looking forward with interest to see who the various parties put up for election in our area.
Mind you, if I end up voting Green, then my Socialist grandfather will spin like a top in his grave.
