or even anyone with a bit more common sense than me

My 10 year old has hurt his foot.  It's bruised and swollen but only slightly.  He's hopping around and can't place it fully on the ground.  I didn't think it needed a doctor's appointment or hospital treatment (it happened 3 days ago) we just iced it and have had him rest up but now getting him to try to put a bit of pressure on it has him complaining it's too sore.  He's back at school on Tuesday so I'm just a bit worried that he will have trouble with it if I don't get it seen to.

The thing is....it's only slightly swollen and bruised and I'm not sure if he's milking it (that sounds awful but I just mean he likes all the sympathy and attention and being lifted and laid!) and I might be wasting a doctors time taking him to the hospital (docs is shut now and the out of hours docs has a longer waiting time than the A&E) BUT I think I'm being neglectful if I don't take him and he needs it seen to

He's adamant that he needs crutches as 3 kids in his class are on them at the minute <<<< another reason why I think he might be playing on it, just so he can get a pair

So basically.....treat it at home or take him to see a doc?

Yip !
The foot has many bones, he may have broken one, or just bruised, best to go to A&E for an X-Ray.Maybe tomorrow morning early , before the usual Saturday sports accidents.Make sure he has circulation i.e the colour of the area shouldnt be blue and he should have some feeling on the area. Best getting it seen to x
