Rawky as a fellow film maker  I'm with you on this one.

Yeah, Im on orange, so it will be a Wednesday if we go. I priced this up on Good Friday because zazz was off. absolute rip off.

LOL Pirate.. I might just do that.

Weve got a Vue cinema near us that's fairly recently opened. I much prefer that to the odeon, its newer, cleaner, cheaper and you can sit on beanbags ... but best of all its got a bar and you can drink!  You cant drink in our big odeon.

I know people wud go more often if it wasn't such a rip off

It makes for a very expensive night if you take your family AND have food

There's no need for pirating.

Or food, why must people eat in the cinema?

i don't mind people eating food too much, as long as they don't make too much noise. My mate always gets popcorn and has this habit of shaking it about, when he's near its end, then pours it down his throat as if he's drinking it.

Gets on my narks it do's.

Yeah, the noisy munchers and slurpers annoy me... as does the smell of the nachos and hot dogs they sell, ugh

The Odeon at the metrocentre has a bar and you can take drinks in to the movie (the bar is the one we were in when I texted you the picture of the yoville chairs).  Although I really like the new cinema in The Gate, they have big double seats in the back for cinema canoodling.

Cinds

People eating in the cinema is the real biggie for why I don't go. They carry those HUGE dustbins full of popcorn and sit two feet behind you and eat and eat, and crunch and crunch and talk with popcorney breath. Errrgh!!

I wait till the films come out on DVD ... I'm going to watch the Kevin film tonight - just as soon as hubby finishes the washing up

I assume your local cinema isn't an Odeon then Muf?

independent but it's ÂĢ8.50 every other day of the week.

ÂĢ10 gets you a film and a pizza on tuesdays and thursdays

It's only got three screens though.

Tenner for a film AND a pizza!!!!    that's cool!

We only have the Odeon here!     I would love there to be an independent one,    When I lived in Leeds we used to go to a little independent with one screen - Cottage Road Cinema in Headingley...   I loved it there!   We used to smuggle in Thunderbird

The Rocky Horror screenings there were fab!!!

that was a bit spooky really..   I'd have rather there had been a few more... not just us...  and him

I remember taking Master Cinds to see Mall Cop (in fact it was Easter Sunday), anyway there was only the two of us in the place, then about 10 minutes in to the film a bloke came in with his child.  Where did he sit? Bearing in mind every single other seat in the cinema was empty.  He sat right next to us, WHY? WHY?

I know, I was half expecting him to do the 'stretch and grope' manoeuvre.

Imagine if I had moved, and then he did the same.

I usually get the bible bashers on the bus.

Although I once had a wierdo sitting behind me sticking his finger through the gap in the seat and giving my bum a little tickle   I moved.  A few weeks later I saw him doing it to another young girl.

I wouldn't exist if it wasn't for the number 11 - my parents met on that bus route as they were both clippies in the old days

this has absolutely nothing to do with films so I'll leave
