I love it.   But then that's one of my fave genre of book/film...   Fantasy..  the type that makes you want to be in that world.

Actually, the film it tends to be likened to the most - at least in plot terms - is "Dances With Wolves"...

Pocahontas

Minus the special effects ... the movie story line has been heavily criticsed for being like POCAHONTAS

Oh, fair enough...

The Buffalo hunt from "Dances With Wolves" was clearly an influence, though...

Ditty xx

You have to read the Boudica quartet by Manda Scott (Dreaming the hound etc) and the Song of Sorcery series by Elizabeth Scarborough (song of Sorcery, Bronwyns Bane and The Unicorn Creed) if you like fantasy.

Can't recommend either series highly enough

ooooh no!    THANK YOU VEGGIE!!

I am always up for recommendations.    I have a vague memory of having read a collaboration that Elizabeth Scarborough did with Anne McCaffrey...     I will definitely give them a go xx
