Soozy the house we lived in before this one, the couple next door where a right source of entertainment, and the walls were so thin there was no need for the glass on the wall.  The best was when they were fighting one evening and it sounded like she'd ripped all the kitchen cupboards off the walls, he eventually locked in the back garden and kept throwing buckets of water out the bathroom window at her.  She was a proper lunatic.

it is awful when it is at home, we finally sold up and moved on which was a shame cos we really loved the house ... you wouldnt believe some of the trouble the whole family caused, from the mother (who punched a policeman one day who came to arrest one of her sons - 8 years old and loved setting fire to buildings, with or without people in them) to the youngest child (3 at the time) who found it great fun to "draw pictures" on my car with a stone.  My mums health started to suffer with the worry, and we were really surprised to be able to sell up to be honest, cos the area looked awful with their broken windows stuffed with clothes to keep out the chill   fences in the street they had broken and fire scorched gardens

Ye gods, thats awful Barney  They weren't even afraid of the police, so I guess there was no point even calling them.

i tell no lies, but the day they were evicted, police were turning up in the street and all shaking hands with each other cos they were out of their area, felt sorry for the poor sods who ended up with them

Good riddance. I just wonder how people can be so aggressive - what a nightmare family!

Barney after living next door to our nightmare family, we moved in to a house that backs on to the A1, it's very noisy in the back garden which is a massive con, but a huge pro is, you can sit in the back garden and talk about what the heck you want and your neighbours can't hear. 10 years down the line of living next door to my noisy A1 neighbour during the summer it wakes me up during the night when it's less busy and just the odd car zooms by.

Clumsy, I laughed when I heard it too, for the same reason.  I remember having scraps with my sisters when we were little and saying 'I'm going to bray ya' and my Dad used to say "donkeys bray'
