That kind of policing makes my blood boil. We have a place near a roundabout where they 'hide' to catch people "not negotiating the roundabout in the proper manner". They caught us one morning doing just that (not another bit of traffic on the road btw) due to rushing over to my sister's who had just heard that her husband was found dead at work. When they flashed us down I got out and went into one. The male cop was very understanding but the female was *insert your own expletive*.
Its a cynical way of fleecing the motorist (and I told them so
). Mr. Aqua
quickly dragged me back into the car with that "not another word" look.

Normally sit at the Carfin end near the last roundabout - which turns right up to the new homes.
They have been doing drivers for mobile use while driving .
I know that bit well, and often use that road so will be on high alert in future. The roundabout is in Cleland outside Kelly's Bar ~ so watch out if you're up that way Velvet.

Kelly's bar! there's a blast from the past .I drank in there when I was campaigning in Cleland,many years ago.

Hate to say it, but not a bad idea, the woman that ran into the back of me was too busy yakking on her phone to spot I'd stopped at the roundabout at Airbles Road ( she chipped her tooth with her phone when she hit me!)

They went into administration just after New Year. Hopefully someone else will open it up again.

I used to live in Cleland, next to the hospital. That was the early '90s.
Used to get the train to work as I worked in Hartwood Hospital at that time.

Can't say I recognise the name, but it was a fairly large place, so you couldn't really know everyone.
