I like doing my toasted sandwiches in the George Forman, they're lovely in that!

Really???  My wee one has chronic eczema and has the worst diet ever he won't eat fruit or veg so eats a lot of sandwiches/toast and I have never thought about bread affecting his skin.

^most definitely! I saw a fab homeopath several years ago who enlightened me and I've had great skin ever since! I get little patches that flare up at Christmas because I eat lots of naughty food, and on the occasions where I eat too much bread. White is worse than brown. My SIL went through a flare up a few months ago, I advised her to have a break from bread and a week later she has stopped itching and her skin had calmed down.. Try it, I hope it helps for him

My great niece has terrible eczema and 'normal' bread aggravates it - her mum gets her special bread (I think it's the gluten free type' it seems to help prevent major flare ups although there are other issues too.

There's a place in town that does a food allergy test but they won't do it til he's 6 so I'm hoping that pinpoints a lot of the foods that affect him when he finally gets it done.

Bear in mind that a lot of tests don't have much (if any) real science behind them. The only reliable tests are those that are done by doctors imo.

I avoid it too, not sure if it is the yeast or gluten or maybe a combo, but it does not make my stomach happy I agree with what you said about white being worse than brown - I find I can have the occasional wholemeal sarnie ( I LOVE those multi-seed loaves ) but it's a shame because I do like bread! I had bad stomach ache last night and realised it much be because I'd had a sandwich on Sunday, and one on Tuesday - that's it, 4 slices of white bread
